Fall Conference 2016: Three C’s Meet The Three F’s

Employees of Career Path Services spent September 28th and 29th attending the organization’s annual fall conference, an event filled with training and activities focused on empowering our employees. In addition to this course of instruction, we also celebrated our 45th anniversary of providing workforce development services to individuals and employers in Washington state.

Eva Marquette presents training on the 3 C’s of trust at Career Path Services’ 2016 Fall Conference

Events for the two days included training on the 3 C’s of trust (Character, Communication, and Capability) by Eva Marquette (Day 1), in which employees engaged in various activities designed to foster an understanding of how we trust ourselves. Throughout the exercises, many staff shared personal stories of what it meant to trust and self-trust. We capped the day with a luau-style dinner and awards ceremony  with pro photographer, Mandy Johnson, on hand to capture the moments.

With the brand new programs Career Path Services took on in July of this year, we hired new staff that not everyone had a chance to meet before the conference. On the morning of the second day, each team shared a presentation introducing themselves to the rest of the organization. The videos and slideshows ranged from humorous to heart-felt and left everyone with a better understanding of our 100+ person organization.

The final events of the conference included a scavenger hunt through Riverfront Park designed to share a little of the Spokane culture with those may not make it here often, and ways to take home the training Eva shared with us over the course of the two days.

For those inquiring about the title of the article, the three C’s of trust met with our traditional 3 F’s (food, family, and fellowship) throughout the two-day event. Through the meaningful training, opportunities to share ideas, and step away from the office, the overall atmosphere of the 2016 Fall Conference provided another step forward in allowing us to serve our communities as they’ve come to expect in the last 45 years.
