Our Human Services programs help individuals and families overcome their barriers through holistic support. We know that changing lives doesn’t require one change, but many to thrive. Our coaches work with participants by helping them access critical resources so that they can become more stable and economically mobile.
Our goal is to help our participants become self-sufficient with practical training and support so that they can secure employment and advance in their careers.

MediWork$™ and BankWork$™ prepares individuals for entry-level jobs in the healthcare and financial industry.

Explore Your Goals
Participants will work through their physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and professional goals. Emphasis will be to learn how to set goals successfully and work on creating a plan that will help guide their path forward.
Develop Your "Why"
Participants will take the goals that they developed the previous week and use them to create "why" statements. Working to understand the why of their goals will help create strong statements and strong convictions to take action toward completing their goals.
Build Successful Habits
Participants will learn prioritization skills that will allow them to focus on their goals and build positive habits enabling them to reach their goals.
Time to Take Action
Participants will begin the process of looking at what their next steps will be. At the end of this class, they will be presented with a list of resources and potential next steps for them as they prepare to move on from GPS.
Career Jump
A Career Jump is a valuable, no risk model for skill development training that assists employers in connecting with job seekers to fill open positions within their company.
How does it work?
- Career Path Services provides your company with a list of potential applicants who match your employment needs
- Your company interviews the candidates and makes the final hiring decision
- Career Path Services acts as employer on record and pays 100 percent of the employees wage for up to 433 hours (approximately 10 weeks at full-time) and all payroll taxes
- Employer is granted a 30-day employee trial evaluation during which they may determine fit
What are some requirements?
- The position must be regular and permanent (not temporary or seasonal)
- Employee must transition at 32+ hours per week (some exceptions can be made but require prior approval)
- The employer agrees to retain the employee after successful completion of training period (assuming employee meets all employer requirements)
What documents are needed?
- Proof of business license
- Signed training agreement
How do job seekers qualify?
An individual must be participating in the WorkFirst Community Jobs program to qualify. If interested, please see your DSHS Case Manager for a referral evaluation.

Dignified Workday
Real work, real wages, real impact.
Dignified Workday provides low-barrier jobs for people experiencing homelessness. Career Path Services partners closely with Dignified Workday to help create opportunities for eager workers.
Hire workers
Dignified Workday's staff trains, supervises, and pays workers to provide services for local businesses and organization. They receive a fair wage, support and respect, and real job responsibilities.
Business partnerships
Dignified Workday crews do everything from demolition and clean-up to painting and landscaping. They take pride and ownership in their work and make sure every project is done right.

The workers earn an income, businesses get valuable services, and Spokane becomes a better place to live.
