Ring the Bell – February 2018

menter-perriPerri Menter has been an Employment Practitioner on the WIOA Pierce team since its formation in July 2016. Her previous work-life experience helped drive her to learn the fundamentals of the role quickly.  She was the first to identify that this position demands compassion, accountability, organization, attention to detail and commitment to those she serves.  She was recognized as the team resource and her peers knew they could lean on her when they needed a form or tool to help with their own project.

Even with the challenges the team faced during our first year, Perri shined as a top performer. She was also awarded the honor of 100% Attendance.

When we identified a need to have new staff dedicated to providing service at our Joint-Base Lewis McChord location, Perri eagerly jumped in to assume the role.  She immediately recognized the critical need to establish genuine relationships with the partners that served our transitioning military customers alongside her at JBLM.  Her love of food, fun and fellowship balanced her direct approach to the work at hand.  She was embraced by the JBLM community as a valued partner and repaired the many bridges that needed mending.  Partners know that they can count on her without fail.

In our current program year, Perri served 102 of the 390 total Dislocated Worker customers to date.  Additionally, she supports two main training providers that offer credentials in partnership with the Department of Defense, GAF Roofing Academy and St. Martin’s Microsoft Software and Systems Academy (MSSA).  These classes have successfully graduated and employed customers at a combined 90% placement rate.  This winter, two of Perri’s customers were showcased as recent graduates of GAF Roofing Academy.  The following article is a wonderful example of the impact that Perri’s work has on our community:

Perri exemplifies our values at Career Path Services.  She delivers service in a way that truly speaks to who we are as an organization at Career Path Services. We are honored to nominate Perri for our February 2018 Ring the Bell award.
