Central King County and Lakewood Service Areas Receive Additional Funding To Continue TANF Recipients

The Washington State Department of Commerce amended additional funding to existing contracts in both the Central King County (Rainier CSO, White Center CSO, and Renton CSO) and Lakewood service areas.

The additional funding will be used to continue offering the Commerce WorkFirst Programs to people receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF).

Amount of additional funding received effective 02/19/2013:

  • Central King County – $200,000 of which $45,000 will be used to serve people with Limited English Proficiency (LEP)
  • Lakewood – $100,000
