Resource Library Services
Every person at WorkSource Columbia Basin is our guest. All services are provided at no cost. We strive to provide the best service possible so that you can come in, get your employment needs met, and get on with your day. We have the resources you need to find the job you want!
Employment resources
The computers in our Resource Library are available for job searching, researching careers and training opportunities, accessing Unemployment Insurance and writing resumes and cover letters. The most popular computer tools include:
- Winway Resume - a program designed to help you create a professional resume quickly. Be sure to save your resume on a floppy disk!
- Email - if you don't already have an email address, you may set up a free account through Hotmail or Yahoo! (Having an email address will allow you to use more of the online tools available for your job search.)
- Go2WorkSource.com - online resource for current job listings and labor market information. You can post your resume on WorkSource and apply for jobs directly online.
- Tricitiesworks.com - the website for WorkSource Columbia Basin. Provides more information on the employment and training services available in our community.
- Go2UI.com - file for unemployment insurance online through this website or file by phone by calling 1-800-362-4636.
- Choices CT - a career assessment and interest profile program to help you decide which career options are right for you.
WorkSource Columbia Basin also provides the following items for your job search needs:

- Fax machines
- Telephones
- Copiers
- Books and videos on topics such as interviewing, networking, entrepreneurship, apprenticeships and training.
On your first visit, you will be provided with a guest portfolio with everything you'll need to get the most benefit out of coming to WorkSource Columbia Basin.
Workshops and seminars
WorkSource Columbia Basin offers a variety of employment-related workshops and seminars, including the Job Hunter Workshop Series, for no cost. Please ask a guest resource specialist for more info and to sign up.
Hours and info
The Resource Area is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with hours expanded to 7 p.m. on Thursdays. No food or beverage is allowed. Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor area only.
