Training

All employees need some level of training in order to succeed in their new workplaces. Career Path Services provides the following types of training, customized to meet the needs of the business. Call us before you hire your next employee! To learn more about any of these services, call us at 326-7520 or email bizservices@careerpathservices.org.

Career Jump

Career Jump is a cost-effective way to hire new employees. We provide you with pre-screened applicants to choose from and then:

Career Path Services also helps your Career Jump increase their job skills and adjust to their new job, ensuring a win-win situation for everyone.

Funded by Washington State Community, Trade and Economic Development (CTED).

Community Jobs

Community Jobs is similar to Career Jump, except that only nonprofit, government and tribal organizations qualify for Community Jobs, and there is no commitment to hire - although you may want to!

Funded by Washington State Community, Trade and Economic Development (CTED).

Job Coaching

Through our individual supported employment service, we help people with disabilities succeed in the workforce. Our employment specialists provide extra training and support by learning the job themselves so that they may train your new employee in the manner needed. As the employee becomes more comfortable and self-sufficient on the job, the employment specialist fades from the work site, yet remains available as needed.

Funded by Spokane County Community Services and/or the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR).

On the Job Training (OJT)

Often, a potentially great employee lacks some skills specific to your workplace. Contact us before you make your final hiring decision - to help offset the additional costs of training such a person, Career Path Services offers on the job training:

OJTs are customized for each business and include the creation of a training plan. Career Path Services will monitor your OJT participant's performance and visit you monthly.

Funded by the Workforce Investment Act through the Spokane Area Workforce Development Council.

Skills Training

Career Path Services does not provide vocational training, but in some circumstances we can help individuals obtain the training they need.

Work Experience (WEX)

Need some extra help? Consider a Work Experience (WEX) through Career Path Services:

Work Experience is typically short-term (one to four months). Career Path Services will monitor your WEX participant's performance and visit you monthly.

Funded by the Workforce Investment Act through the Spokane Area Workforce Development Council and/or the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Career Path Services' training services may not be used to replace existing employees or for jobs covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Eligibility requirements apply.
