Downsizing
Career Path Services' dislocated worker service helps employees who are laid off find new employment quickly. If your organization is facing layoffs, contact us to find out how we can make the transition easier. Depending upon the size of the layoff, we can meet with employees one on one or in a group orientation, called a "Rapid Response," to let them know there are community resources available to help them through this stressful time.
Rapid Response team presentations include information on:
- Dislocated worker services under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) at Career Path Services and WorkSource Spokane
- Retraining programs at the Community Colleges of Spokane
- Unemployment Insurance benefits through Washington State UI
- Health insurance options with Washington Basic Health
- Other community resources available to laid off workers
Our employment representatives can help your downsized employees find new jobs quickly! Services may include:
- Resume development
- Labor market research
- Indentification of transferable skills
- Interview techniques
- Access to our Career Resource Center (CRC)
- And more!
Please call us at 326-7520 or email bizservices@careerpathservices.org for more information.
Rapid Response and dislocated worker services are made possible by Workforce Investment Act funding from the Spokane Area Workforce Development Council.
